Baylor, Texas Children's Renew 73-Year Affiliation

Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital have renewed the affiliation they first formed more than 70 years ago in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, according to Becker's Hospital Review. Both institutions have grown dramatically in size and scope since the partnership began, but leaders say the mission is unchanged: work together to save lives.

In practice, the affiliation binds Texas Children's clinical operations to Baylor's academic engine. Baylor faculty practice and teach at the hospital, students and residents train there, and research runs across both organizations. Renewing the deal locks in that pipeline of physicians and scientists and preserves a shared platform for pediatric care and discovery.
